Adobe xd is ector-based software which is works on user experience and website wire framing.
It creates stunning user interfaces for both mobile and web apps.
It is available for both macs and windows operating systems. In adobe xd you can open files from Photoshop, Illustrator, Photoshop Sketch, and After Effect.
It is basically a UX (User Experience) and UI (User Interface) Designing application.
Adobe XD professionally designed for website, apps and tab UI’s which is becoming a leading tool in UI designing field.
It works on multiple artboards for various pages of your ui. Here you will find lots of professional tool like pen tool, rectangle, ellipse, zoom, artboard.
Along with these tools there is a lot of things in this software comes with such as assets and layers.
What are Assets?
Assest is one of the best panels where you will find three menus Color, Symbols, and Character. It allows you to quickly find component, color, and character style, that is used.
Assets will help you a lot in working on XD.
First add all color, objects (symbols), character which you want to use in your UI, then go to assets menu and click on + sign it will add your all character styles, colors, and objects (symbols).
What are Components?
In components you will find three menus Color, Character, and symbols.
Let’s see what are these menus.
- Colour: Color menu is used for adding color for your design, add color which you want to use in your design add your color to the artboard and just click on add button it will add your all color which you have added on artboard then you can use it wherever you want. It is very helpful because after adding all color there is no need you to find colors for your mockup. Just make any object and select the color.
- Character: In assets panel all menus are same just make your colour, object, and character style and click on add button it will add your all your everything in character menu just write your text and put character style and click on add button it will save your all character style. After this when you will make your design it will be very helpful because just with the help of one click you can add character style on your text, just write text on artboard (it doesn’t matter which style the text has) and click on character style it will put your saved style to the text.
- Symbol: Symbols are one of the objects that allows you to be used in multiple artboards. You can change them all by only modifying one representative of them. Suppose if you want same object on some artboards then make symbol of it will make your work easier. Just you have to do is drag and drop your symbol wherever you want.
What is Group?
Group is one of the best options in adobe software’s, you will find almost every software of adobe has this feature. As similar adobe xd also has this feature.
Group is something you make set of some objects, for example if you want three same rectangles on an artboard and you need to move these boxes again and again, you don’t want to make their alignment spoil, so the best way is to make them group.

You can also move your objects by a big group just select your objects by shift and right click of mouse, select objects and make them group , then there will be no need to select them again and again.
In other word if you will make group of some objects they will be treated as a single unit.
