Multi-channel audio mixing in Premiere Pro

Adobe Premiere Pro is a versatile software for video editing. If you are an Adobe Premiere Pro user then I am sure that you know that audios also can be edited or mixed in this application. It is not compulsory to use video with that.

It is quite easy to mix audios with each other in Adobe Premiere Pro because it works on a track system or we can say that there are separate tracks for audios as well as videos. So, first of all to know the term that is used in audio. The term is channels, There are different channels of audio.

The main channels are mono and stereo. Mono means single, it means audio runs on single channels.
On the other hand stereo means two i.e runs on two channels. There are some cameras which can record up to eight channels. Adobe Premiere Pro is able to run on 32 channels.

There are different steps by which you can mix multi-channel audios in Adobe Premiere Pro:
  • Audio clips in the source monitor
  1. First of all you have to open up the audio clip on the source monitor.
  2. Now, drag the audio to the timeline
  • Modification of clips
Now, take in mind that all the audios come in multi-channel when we add them to the sequence.
  1. Select one or multiple clips
  2. Right click and Go to modify then select audio channels.
  3. Do some settings in audio channels
  4. Select the channel that you want like mono, stereo or adaptive
  5. Now you have to select the number of clips that you want to edit.
  6. You have freedom to choose as many audio channels or clips to edit. There is no limitation of choosing the clips.
  • Select source channel
Now you have to check the source audio channel which is used to edit or mix other audios.
  • Changing
  1. You can change the speed of the clip whenever you want. It is not necessary to do the modification at that time.
  2. Reviewing audio channels
  3. To review the audio channels you can check out the waveform.
  • Change the audio track types
So add the audio on a correct audio track. It will help you in mixing your audios in the correct way. If there are more videos than audio tracks the you are allowed to add track by right clicking on the timeline and select add audio track, here you can type the required no. of audio tracks to add. Click OK.

Creative Techniques to Create Effective Videos for Social Media

We all know video is the best way to capture the attention of your spectators, especially if it's social media. Just log in to any one of social media accounts like YouTube, Instagram etc. and it will only take fraction of seconds to upload any video.

As businesses and big brands depend heavily on social media channels to intensify their messages, it's extremely important to think about how any business create these footage's and what is the idea behind them.

In this blog, we will share some important tips on how we can do video editing like a pro in just few steps for social media. We will also cover some of the top-level best practices for editing clips.

1. Focus on readers mind

When you are creating social media content, there will be lots of competition. Friends, family, celebrities, other brands and more are all struggle together for viewer’s attention on social networks. If you want your content should be stand out from the world, then you need to focus on viewers are looking for.

2. Only post parts of clips

In case you want to attract viewers back to your website, don't post an entire video to Facebook. Post only bits and pieces of the clip to keep the curiosity alive. Facebook is one of the best platforms for teaser videos because one can include links to the content on the site from right within the post. Also on Instagram, one can only include a clickable link in the bio, not in the copy of the video post. In case if you are really trying to drive traffic, stick to Facebook.

3. Decide what to feature in Clips

You want to hit your audience with the perfect visuals from the starting. The competition for your viewer's attention is ferocious, so make sure to convey things in short duration.

Always make a clip or footage which can encourage the audience to tell their own stories on social channels like YouTube and Facebook. For example, like Coke launched its campaign Share-A-Coke idea, it attracted large amount of people.
  • Always make two clips and test them against each other to see which one performs best. The goal should be to the keep a footage concise and engaging.
4. Create original and own content

Creating your own content is not a tough thing. In if you feel that you don’t have enough content then you just need to grab any phone and take some photos or record short footage.

For example: How a simple clip “How to Open a Bottle of Wine Without a Corkscrew.” for a winery in France became so famous. It generated over 10 million views and catapulted the winery to stardom. Perseverance is key here.

5. Learn Best Video Editing Applications

Clips that are directly uploaded to Facebook perform better and provide a better experience. They receive more than 30% views than clips posted from other websites. To make clips like a pro, it is always recommended to learn best video editing applications from a professional video editing institute. Some of these applications are Final Cut Pro X Master, Final Cut Studio Master, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe After Effects, Post Production Courses and many more.

Learning these tools from a professional Video Editing Institute will provide exposure of live project training to the students which will help them to test their knowledge and will add to their experience. Vi are more attractive and lively than plain-text posts or posts with images, as it can more fluently grab a users’ attention.

Differences between Apple Final Cut Pro X and Adobe Premiere Pro CC

The basic difference between Apple's Final Cut Pro X and Adobe's Premiere Pro CC is the user interface, which is also the major difference between two software. Both are the products of high-end companies, which provide many other competitive products as well.

Apple's Final Cut Pro X has been evolved completely since the last version. The user experience has changed completely and many options have improved or removed which were tedious in the previous version. In earlier versions, one had to make the settings before starting any project on FCP 7, but in the current version, one does not have to bother about any settings except the file settings, that are the file size, custom settings etc. Otherwise, whatever is been created or changed is saved automatically in the folders. One does not have to bother about saving the file rep eatedly.

Adobe's Premiere Pro CC has not really changed much from its previous versions. Even the quality of render is different in both the softwares. However, Premiere Pro CC is struggling hard to match the render quality of Apple's Final Cut Pro X but still there is a minute difference between the final outputs, with Final Cut Pro X ahead as usual.

One also has the option of exporting each other's files for further editing in the alternative editing software with the extension of XML project. Apple's Final Cut Pro X has better templates and an amazing workspace. The pleasure that one gets editing a video in FCP X is somewhat beautiful. One who starts working in Final Cut Pro X can never shift to alternate software, unless there is financial constraint. Of course, switching to Premiere Pro CC is a good alternative when you cannot afford to buy an Apple machine for which one needs a higher budget. In addition, Premiere Pro offers all the editing tools that one requires. One would not feel any less or deficient working on this as well.

There are many amazing third party plug-ins, which are available for Premiere Pro CC, which may or may not be available for Final Cut Pro X as that has completely different interface. One major advantage that Adobe has over Apple is that Adobe has many other designing types of software that are used professionally worldwide. Moreover, because Adobe has a market in designing world of professionals therefore Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe after Effects files can be easily imported into Adobe Premiere Pro CC. It is because of this reason that professionals at times prefer Adobe Premiere Pro CC to Apple's Final Cut Pro X as Apple doesn't have established designing software in the market. Compatibility and easy transfer of files among the softwares of Adobe makes it easier for working professionals to output a work.
