3D Animation has three main sections which are given below. 

1- Layouts - Layout process is used to positioning any object.

2- Modeling - It is a process of generating the 3D objects.

3- Rendering - It is the final stage where we get the final output.

Difference Between 2D & 3D Animation

2D Animation: All the process and actions depend on X-axis & Y-axis.

3D Animation: We use one more axis in this section which is known ad Z-axis that furnish the real output.

Photoshop is an image editing and designing tool which is vector or bitmap based, it has numerous capabilities to create stunning image manipulations, special effects, short GIF animations, etc. 

This graphic designing tool consists of many tools that one can use easily for editing multiple images to create a very unique and appealing manipulation.

What is the role of Photoshop in 3D ANIMATION? 

• Photoshop can be used for storyboards, but those are usually carried out through hand.

• Mostly, it is used to create ideas, or concept artwork to be passed off to the 3D modelers, maybe floorplans in the event that they’re wanted. It can be used to create Character Sheets or other blueprints for objects for use for 3D modeling.

• The largest use of this photo editing tool within the animation industry is to create textures for 3-d models

• These two functions increase the possibilities of this designing tool customers and permit them to use Photoshop to create and edit 3-D content and create animations using a new, stronger Timeline panel, similar to the only you can see in different professional animations applications, such as Premiere and After Effects. 

• We used Photoshop in 3-D animation due to the fact this designing application creates 3d textual content and 3d item effortlessly created in it. And 3d animators always wished Photoshop within the 3d animation industry. 

• It lets you animate a three-D item so it appears to move through area, plus you can change its look over time. To do that, open the record containing the 3-D item after which open the Timeline panel. When you do this, Photoshop adds all the layers within the Layers panel to the Timeline panel as video layers.
